What information do we collect?
We collect only the personally identifiable information from you which is necessary to provide services to you (see Comments and Newsletter sections below). When you visit our website, your computer’s / device’s IP Address and location is recorded for the purposes of maintaining log files and collecting visitor statistics. In most cases, the details of your browser will also be recorded for the purpose of statistical analysis. We do not, nor ever will, sell your data to data brokers. We do not provide data to third-parties with the exception of information necessary to provide administrative functionality.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We use Akismet in order to check for comment spam. Certain data is transmitted to Akismet for this sole purpose. Akismet’s Privacy Policy can be reviewed here.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, the personally identifiable information you provide is sent to us and is used for administration of our newsletter and for the purpose of correctly addressing you. This information is not provided to third-parties.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
